By ordering the Film Budgeteers service, you agree to the following terms
#1 You agree that all calculations, algorithms, results, totals, and formulas are proprietary and remain the intellectual property of Film Budgeteers.
Purchaser agrees to not copy, decompile, reverse engineer, back-engineer, disassemble, attempt to derive the source code of, decrypt, modify, use for machine learning or artificial intelligence applications, use to program, assist, edify, or otherwise create or enhance or augment any form of artificial intelligence (AI) or its process of learning, or automation, or create derivative works of the Film Budgeteers formulae, calculations, algorithms, and totals, or any services provided by the Film Budgeteers, or in any way enable others to, or any part thereof (except as and only to the extent any foregoing restriction is prohibited by applicable law or to the extent as may be permitted by the licensing terms governing use of open-sourced components included with the Film Budgeteers product and service. Purchaser attests they are not associated in any way with projects or organizations focused on or related to artificial intelligence or machine learning.
#2 Purchases of our service are not subject to any sort of refund or redo
We do not offer any sort of refund or redo, for any reason and/or under any circumstance, for the budget services we offer. You understand that the only time we provide a refund is when we choose not to accept your business. In such circumstances, we will refund your order but not the fees our merchant processor has charged us for your transaction, as our merchant processor does not reimburse us for those fees when we provide a refund. (Currently 2.9% of your total plus $0.30.)
#3 The budget we provide you is a starting point, not the finish line
Our budgeting engine is designed to be as simple as possible while asking the most relevant questions in order to dial in as accurate a budget as possible, but the budget we provide you is not intended to be 100% perfectly tailored around every last detail about your film. To provide that, we would need to break down and line your screenplay, create a detailed prep-, post- and production schedule, and engage in key discussions with not only your producers, but your director and all department heads. That’s why the budget we recommend you order is one that includes an editable version. That way, if you need to get as accurate as possible, you can do it yourself or have a line producer help you.
